My Daily Devotions

My daily devotions are an important part of my life! Even if I’m busy and don’t have time for anything else there’s always time for God! I have been a Christian my whole life! I went to church and Sunday School as a child and until I moved. Mr. RCGG and I haven’t found a church that we feel at home in in Georgia so I started a devotional time to make up for that!

Just because we don’t go to church doesn’t make us bad people. Going to church doesn’t make you any more of a Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car. It’s the lifestyle you lead that makes you a Christian! God has done many things in my life and I want to take time to thank Him for what He has done. He’s gotten me through some pretty hard days and I know that with Him I can do everything because He gives me the strength to do them. {Philippians 4:13  I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!}

That verse alone is all the reason I need to know that God works in our lives! Quite a few years ago I was involved in a traffic accident. A young boy was hurt and I was sued for negligent driving. I repeated Philippians 4:13 in my head over the course of several months. The day before the case was supposed to go to trial I called my lawyer to find out what was going to happen. He sid he was just getting ready to call. The case had been settled out of court in my favor!  I cannot explain how grateful I was to God for this! I know I had my church family praying for me! As soon as I got off the phone with my lawyer I called as many of them as I could to thank them for their prayers. He was listening to our prayers and knew when was the right time to to tell Satan to BACK OFF!

I have had many blessings in my life and I take the time every day to thank God for them! He is the reason I am the person I am!

Do you spend time with God every day? When you have moved have you found it difficult to find a new church?
