Fernandina Beach Florida has the same history as Amelia Island since Fernandina Beach is the actual city on Amelia Island!
There’s pirate statues all over the town and the high school mascot is the pirate. The town has a bit of a past with pirates.
Fernandina Beach has beautiful beaches! If we don’t go to a civil war site we go to a beach! Haha!
There’s orange trees growing in downtown Fernandina Beach.
It was late January or early February when we were visiting so there’s no leaves on the trees, but the orange trees were still really cool to see in a downtown area.
