French Toast Cracker Barrel Copycat Recipe

Every Sunday morning Mr. RCGG and I have breakfast together. It’s his only real day off from work.  A couple of weeks ago I made French toast. I found a recipe on Pinterest for a French Toast Cracker Barrel copycat Recipe. RCGG Copycat Cracker Barrel French Toast

This French toast was so easy to make! I honestly didn’t think it would be this easy since I had never made it before.

Ingredients:
4 eggs
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 pinches salt
8 slices of thick bread
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions:

  1.  In a large bowl whisk eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt together.

  2. Heat a skillet to medium heat. Grease with butter.

  3. Dip bread in egg mixture for 30 seconds on each side.

  4. Place in skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

It really is that simple! Mr. RCGG and I had ours with maple syrup and butter. There’s so many ways to make french toast though! You can add your favorite fresh fruit as a topping or make stuffed french toast by adding the fruit to the middle with some cream cheese.
