Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield

Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield is another civil war trip. I told you a lot of these would be civil war related! =) This one is a day trip for us since it is about thirty minutes away depending on the lovely Metro Atlanta traffic.

It was launched by General Sherman against the Confederate troops of Tennessee commanded by General Johnston. The battle didn’t deliver the result of stopping Sherman’s advance on Atlanta like the Confederates wanted.
