With A Purpose- Georgia Sea Turtle Center

The Georgia Sea Turtle Center is another cause that is special to me. The GSTC is a rehab center for injured sea turtles and other wildlife.

RCGG Purpose

The center, which opened in 2007, is a working hospital and open to the public. The hospital has an interactive Exhibit Gallery where you can learn about the different types of sea turtles and a Rehabilitation Pavilion where you can see and learn about the turtles that are being treated.

Dr. Terry Norton has a passion for animals. He’s the veterinarian at the GSTC. He’s worked with so many organizations and helped animals all over the world. He’s such an amazing doctor!

This past weekend was the annual Turtle Crawl marathon and 5K. It’s a fun filled weekend that ends with a triathlon and 5K on Sunday. On Saturday a turtle is released from the GSTC back into the ocean! This year, the release was canceled because of storms.

The GSTC is a special place. If you are in the Brunswick GA area then take a couple of hours to visit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island.
