I have been to Springfield, IL many times! My dad is from the area and when I was growing up we would go visit my grandma.
There’s so much history in Springfield and it mostly revolves around President Lincoln.
Lincoln lived in Springfield before he became our 16th president.
You can also see his tomb.
Before Lincoln was our 16th president, he was a lawyer in Illinois. When he was studying to become a lawyer he lived in New Salem, IL.
