It is two weeks until the wedding. Is it okay to say that I am getting a little nervous about things? What about saying that I am getting excited to become a wife?
It is okay? Then I am getting very nervous about things going completely crazy. I am not able to see the 10 day forecast yet for Jekyll Island, GA. I keep watching the weather and hoping that there aren’t any tropical storms that decide to pop up. The last three have dumped significant amounts of rain on Jekyll Island and caused minor wind damage. None of them were upgraded to hurricane status and that is good, but it still worries me a little. In four days I will be able to see the 10 day forecast.
I am so excited to become a wife. Nathan and I have been together for 11 and half years and I have loved every minute of it. Every day with him is so much fun and we love just being with each other. Becoming his wife is going to be the best day ever!
Things are coming together. We still have to get our marriage license, but there is no waiting period in Georgia. We are going to do that next week. We still have to get vases for the centerpieces, the signature photo mat for our guest book, and I still have to make the wedding cake shaped sugar cookies. I was thinking about doing that on the Tuesday or Wednesday before so that the cookies are still somewhat fresh. I still have to put together the favors. My friend (and Nathan’s brother’s girlfriend) is going to help me with those.
My mom came down last weekend with a friend and her daughter for a little mini shower. I didn’t get pictures because I had been sick and looked REALLY BAD. Anyways, it was so much fun. I loved seeing my mom again. I haven’t seen her in a little over a year. They brought down some cards and gifts from some church ladies. I loved everything.
The next time you see a post from me will be two weeks from today. It will be my wedding day. I might post a couple of pictures that night, but don’t expect them. 😉 Haha!
Anyways, thanks to my Stop and Smell the Roses ladies for all the support you have given over the past month. I will let the Southern Illinois girls know when we are coming up again so we can get together. See you in August ladies!
