Since today is my birthday, I thought I would do things a little different for Crafty Tuesday. This is the BIRTHDAY EDITION!!! HaHa! Anyways, I love baking and decorating cakes. These are the only ones I have done so far because I am still learning. I hope to work on getting better and someday opening my own bakery.
I made this flamingo cake for my mom for Mother’s Day the month before I moved to Georgia. The sun is a vanilla wafer cookie and the tree trunk is a Twix candy bar. I used a cookie cutter to use as an outline for the flamingo. She loved it.
I made this cute beagle for N’s mom’s birthday. It took forever to make because it was warm in my kitchen and the icing kept sliding off the cake. So, I would decorate a little bit and then put it in the freezer for about ten minutes. I finally got it done and I think it turned out adorable.
This cake is from my very first Wilton cake decorating class. I think I did very well for not really knowing what to do.
