Today’s craft find

N and I went to Target today. It wasn’t a trip for anything really. It was just a trip so I could get out. As I have said before, I don’t go out every day like most people. Anyways, today we went to Target. I found a handheld mirror in the dollar spot that I am going to paint. It has a rose and some florish thingies on it. I was going to take a before picture of it to go with this post, but my camera batteries died last night and I didn’t have a chance to charge them yet. Anyways, I am going to paint the rose pink and the florishes yellow. I think it will look like the magic mirror in the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie. I have loved it since I first saw it. Anyways, that was my craft find for the day that I had to share.

hi! thanks for checking out my taggies! 🙂 They’re easy to make but I think it would be tedious to hand sew. Basically, I cut a square 18″ on a side. Take one and put it right side up. Cut ribbon into 6″ strips (I use 5 different ribbons per side) and iron in half for easier handling. Pin ribbons onto the fabric that’s right side up so that the folded part is toward the inside. I space mine 2″ apart and 2″ inside. Put the other piece of fabric over face down (so the fabrics are right sides together) and pin all around to keep pieces together. Sew around and leave about 2-3″ to turn right side out- I use a 1/2″ seam. Turn, removing pins as you go. Straighten and poke out the corners then top stitch about 1/4″ in and then top stitch 1/2″ in so you have 2 rows of stitching.

I think it would take a long time hand sewing. I can make one in about an hour or so on my machine. Be sure to let me know if you make one! 🙂
