random thoughts

Okay, so I know my blog isn’t as updated as it should be. I know that Nathan and I don’t have children to talk about in my blog. We do have cats that are our children and I will talk about them like they are our children.

Do you have any TV shows that you have to watch even if it is a rerun? I feel that way with a show on MSNBC. It is called Lock Up. Camera crews go into prisions around the country and do documentaries on how the prision is run and how prisioners are dealing with being on the inside. It is not suitlable for small children, but it is very interesting to know how one prision will do things different from another one.

Nathan bought a new book for me the other day. It is called Idiot. It is by Johnny Damon. It is basically about his life growing up through his baseball career up until winning the World Series with the Red Sox. He is one of my favorite baseball players. My favorite teams are the Cardinals, Braves, and Red Sox. Probably the only teams that I know the name of more than one player. Except for the Yankees, who Damon now plays for. I think everyone knows of Jeter and A-rod. Wheather or not you like A-Rod is a different story. I am looking forward to reading Idiot. My favorite players are: Yadier Molina, Chipper Jones, Brian McCann, Johnny Damon, David Ortiz, and John Smoltz. I have to finish my Nora Roberts book before I start reading a new one though. I cannot be reading two books at once.

I think I have mentioned before that Nathan loves the civil war era. We have been to a couple of civil war battlefields, Allatoona Pass and Kennesaw Mountain. We also went to Gettysburg when I went to PA with his family for Thanksgiving one year. I am slowly learning about different parts of the history of this time in our country’s history. We are wanting to take a trip to Charleston, South Carolina. That is where the first shots of the civil war were fired at Fort Sumter. We also want to go to Boone Hall Plantation. It was used as Mont Royal in the TV movie North and South. I want to go back to Savannah. That city is absoultely BEAUTIFUL!

Well, I think I have had enough random thoughts for one night. I actually can’t think of anything else too random right now. SO, I am going to get ready for bed. It has been a long day. A long day that hasn’t felt like Saturday.
