Another year coming to a close

As we draw closer to the end of 2009, I would like to look back and reflect on some of the things I have done this year. I saw the ocean for the first time. Bob and his family and I went on a weekend vacation to Hilton Head, SC, Savannah, GA, and Tybee Island,GA over the fourth of July weekend.

In May, we had a little kitten adopt us. I can hear her now as I type, yelling to be let out of the garage. She stays in the garage because our other cat, Ollie doesn’t like having to share her room. We bring Peaches up a few times a day and she plays and rolls and sleeps on our bed.

In July we went up to visit my parents in IL. We went over the weekend of my mom’s birthday. I had been making a scrapbook for her that was supposed to be her Christmas present, but I didn’t get it finished in time. Then I was going to have it be for Mother’s Day, but again, not done in time. So, when I finally got it done about a week before her birthday, I was about sick of looking at the pages that I had done for so long. HAHA!! Oh… On our way home, there was an accident just north of Nashville TN, so we went down another road. When we were driving down the road we drove past Barbara Mandrell’s old house. I thought it was exciting.

We also went to an Atlanta Braves baseball game. In April we went to see the Braves play the Cardinals. That was my first major league baseball game. The Cardinals won, but that was okay with me. I like both teams. My Poppy would have killed me growing up if I was anything but a Cardinals fan. The Braves have always been my second favorite baseball team.

In November we surprised my parents by shwoing up at their house. We were going to go up for my dad’s 50th birthday and surprise them, but they were going to Branso MO. So we went the weekend after his brithday. They were totally surprised. We didn’t call them and tell them we were going to be there. It was a short trip. We got there on a Friday night and left Saturday evening. It is a very long trip from Georgia to Illinois. We had Bob’s sister and her family here for Thanksgiving. We went shopping on Black Friday and decorated our house for Christmas.

In December, we got the Christmas cards out earlier than we did last year. We also decorated a little bit more. We bought the cats Christmas present and gave it to them because it was too big to wrap. We got them a three tiered condo. They both love it. Ollie will lay in the bottom one. She isn’t big into jumping. Peaches will climb her way from the bottom all the way to the top and just roll around and climb all over the thing. It is very cute how the both have such different personalities.

I hope everyone has a very blessed 2010. I hope you do something that have been wanting to do and be happy with your life. Make sure that you try to keep your resolutions.

Again, have a very blesses 2010.
