Online Faith and Fitness Program

Through December I will be participating in a fitness and faith challenge hosted by Sarah Borgstede.
Every Friday, I will post a new series called Faithful Fitness. Over the next month and a half I will be posting about my workout and a devotion from the week that really spoke to me. I use Joyce Meyer as my daily devotion so it will more than likely be something from her!

Anyways, I’m really excited to start this journey with her! One of the challenges of this program is to share what your fitness goal is! I have wanted to run a 5K for quite sometime! It’s one of the things on my bucket list actually! I have started training, but have quickly given up because I felt Satan getting in my head! He was telling me that I could never do this. That It was such a dumb idea. With Sarah’s program I know God will push me to get in that training!

Earlier this week I started the Couch to 5K program AGAIN! I will get through it someday I promise! It just seems like every time I try I don’t finish!

  2. You can do it! Couch to 5K is a great program. That is what I used to run my first 5K and was very successful with it. I couldn’t believe it the first time I ran for 20 consecutive minutes. I still remember that day so clearly — it was a Thursday evening and I ran on the treadmill at the gym (and I hate the treadmill and normally ran outside) but I DID IT. Go you!

    I’ve tried the C25K app several times… one time I even got to week 7 and then quit! Resolved to do it this time! Maybe not using the app but I am going to run that 5K. Praying for you on this journey!
