Heavy Hearts- Cat Takeover

Hi Mommy’s blog friends! It’s Peachy! I decided that I needed to take over the blog today.

We had a sad event happen in our house on November 10th. It is with a very heavy heart that I must tell you that my beautiful big sister has passed away. She passed very peacefully with Mommy and Daddy by her side all day. They made sure she was comfortable while laying on one of her favorite blankets, covered up to keep her warm, and had her favorite toy beside her. Mommy even made sure she had a few of her favorite treats beside her just in case she felt like eating. I don’t think she ate them though. I was in the living room while Mommy and Daddy were in the bedroom with her!

I learned so much from Ollie as I watched her throughout the ten years I was blessed with her! She taught me that it is okay to yell at the top of your lungs just because you feel like it! She taught me that you need your ears scratched and your tummy rubbed! I love a good tummy rub, but she also told me that sometimes you have to let them know when you have had enough and swat their hand away with just enough claw that it makes a bit of a mark! That’s how I perfected the one claw pay attention to me thing that I do!

Ollie and I may not have been best friends throughout our lives together but I think in the end she really was my best friend! She will always be my big sister and I love her more than anything!

Mommy has set up a memorial fund in Ollie’s memory with one of our favorite animal shelters, Palmetto Animal League. If you would like to make a donation please find this post on the blog Facebook page. Mommy said that she will match the donations.

Thanks so much for the sweet words about your big sister Peachy Cat! She may not have shown it but she loved you very much! The two of you wore so different but I’m not sure if you knew that you knew you were the same! Ollie loved tuna, ranch dressing, cheese, treats, eggs, etc. Basically she loved food! She loved to play and run around but over the past several months she had slown down. I know Ollie is running around again in Heaven and knowing her the first thing she probably did when she got there was smack Andy, my cocker spaniel growing up, on the nose! He got up in her face when she was a kitten and she whapped him in the nose! She showed him who was boss and he never got that close to her again! In the next few months I will share the story of how I got Ollie!

I’d like to share some of my favorite pictures of my kitten with you! Thank you so much for your love and support through our loss!
