I would like to wish all my readers a very merry Christmas. I hope you have a great day and celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. One of the things I miss about a Southern Illinois christmas is my church’s christmas eve service. We would have singing of hymns and a small Christmas sermon. Our choir director would sing O Holy Night. This man is an amazing singer. He sang oprea for a long time. Then we have communion and get a candle and wait until everyone was through the line. we would turn the lights out and our pastor lights the first candles. The as the light spreads through the church we sing Silent Night. By the fourth or fifth time every candle is lit. It is a very special service and I miss it so much. It was always one of my favorite things about the season.
I would also like to take this time to tell you about some new things I am going to try for my blog in 2010. Maybe it will bring in some new readers. I am going to start a once a week cat picture. I haven’t decided what day I will be doing, but I am going to post random pictures of our cats. I know I have hundreds of Ollie, so I can pull this off with her. Not so many of Peaches, so to start there may be more of one than the other. I will also be thinking of other cool things to do through the year. Maybe like little trivia games or random facts about random things.
I will probably not be posting until Saturday or Sunday. I am going to try to take the time to be a better blogger in 2010. The thing is that I don’t really do too much that is blog-worthy. I am hoping for that to change. N & I will be going to several more Atlanta Braves games next baseball season and he is hoping to maybe go to a Carolina Panthers game. Oh BTW, the Colts are going to win the Super Bowl!! Yes, I am a Colts fan. They are an awesome team. Anyways, I am rambling now.
Anyways, I hope you have a great Christmas and a very blessed 2010.
