Thoughts on a Saturday

I usually don’t post on weekends, but I REALLY need to get caught up on things so I thought a random thoughts on a Saturday post would be fun! I’m thinking this might become a monthly end of the month post where I just take a day and babble away like I do sometimes! Anyways, it’s halfway through August and I’m just now getting back to posting! My last post was on July 22nd where I posted my Summer Fun Round up Part 2.

Here’s this month’s thoughts on a Saturday!

I have several ideas in my head about what I want to do for Fall crafts! I’m hoping they get accomplished this year since there’s at least two that I have been wanting to do for the past three years!
I have a few ideas for my Christmas series! I’m still working out the details and I have asked on Facebook for small businesses and crafters for a giveaway! I’m excited that I have already had two people contact me! YAY!
I have been working on some new contribution posts for A Pinch of Faith. Hopefully by the end of the month I will have those done and ready to submit. I love writing for Amanda and her blog, but it is definitely a lot more work than I thought it was going to be! I need to get on a better writing schedule like I was before July started!
I’m ready for football season! Mr. RCGG started watching preseason games this weekend and I’m excited to watch some Colts games! Mr. RCGG is a Carolina Panthers fan and the Colts are actually going to be playing in Charlotte this year! It’s been a long time since our two teams have played each other!
I can’t stop eating chocolate hostess doughnuts! Those little things have always been a guilty pleasure of mine. There’s just something about them that is so good!
I have a ~~minor~~ obsession with washi tape! I’m always looking at it on Etsy wanting to buy more, but I know that I don’t need it at the moment! BUT I do at the same time! I asked Mr. RCGG for a small thread rack for my birthday so I can store it on my desk instead of in an old Toms box. Haha! I have the first row filled up already!
I signed up for a blog staycation for September and I need to start thinking of some things I want to get done during the weekend of it! This is the second time I will be participating and I’m looking forward to it again!

I hope you enjoyed my first Thoughts on a Saturday! I’m looking forward to doing it again at the end of next month! I’ll be nice and not make you sit through two in a month! Have a great weekend! =)

Summer Fun Roundup Part 2

After the Fourth of July is when parents everywhere start hearing the whines of MOOOOM!!! I’M BORED!!! THERE’S NOTHING TO DO! At least I can say my parents did when I was a kid! Are you wondering just what to do with them now that summer is winding down and back to school shopping is starting?

Part 2 of the Summer Fun Round Up will help beat those summer boredom blues!

These are some great ways to get those little ones moving! Get them outside away from the electronics! Sunshine is better for them anyways!

Three Years

It doesn’t seem like three years that I married my best friend! These past three years have gone by so fast! I have loved every minute of my life with Mr. RCGG that I wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world! He means everything to me and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us in our future! Every year we have taken an anniversary picture. It started with us holding a wedding picture on our first anniversary. I love this tradition!

Love and Accept Your Marriage APOF

I have started writing as a contributor over at A Pinch of Faith and my first post went up today! I’m so excited to be writing for A Pinch of Faith.

Grandmas Banana Bread

Baking has always been something that I have loved to do. Over the years, I have made multitudes of cookies, cakes and other items. However, there’s just something about making a family recipe that gives you comfort. My grandma has been baking for as long as I can remember! She’s famous for just about anything she bakes. (Except chocolate chip cookies! More like chocolate chip rocks! haha!)

One of my favorites has always been Grandma’s banana bread! A few years ago around Christmas I called my mom to ask her for the recipe. I wanted to send it to Grandma as her Christmas gift. My mom thought that was a wonderful idea so she managed to get Grandmas recipe for me. It was quite an accomplishment. She said she had to make like a ninja borrowing her recipe books! Haha! I can see my mom sneaking around getting the recipe!

Ranch and Dill Chex Mix

This is not a sponsored post! I made this on my own accord after finding the recipe in an email from Betty Crocker!

Mr. RCGG and I will be going on a trip soon. I wanted something as a snack in the car that wasn’t the same chips and candy. So when I got this recipe in my Betty Crocker email I knew that I wanted to to make it! It’s really simple to make. I hope you find it easy and as yummy as we do!

Just a note about the recipe: I would add a little more dry ranch mix to it. That’s just my preference though!

The past couple weeks have been such a blur that I haven’t had time to sit down and get a vlog done. It’s something I enjoy doing and I would like to find the time to vlog on a regular basis.
