Monthly Blog Goals

I’m making some progress on some monthly blog goals! Every month I make some goals for my blogging! For February, one of those goals was to get some social media links up on my side bar! I found a tutorial on how to do it and I am on my way to having that done! Over the next week I should have them all accounted for! So please excuse the mess of my side bar over the next couple days!

Another goal for this month was to get my blog button up again! I had one when I was over on Blogger, but with the move to WordPress I wanted something new! I have  the picture but I can not figure out how to get it cropped to the size I want or the coding for the WordPress. So I hope to get that done this month too! Doing your own HTML is hard when you don’t really know how to do it! =)

Dove Advanced Care

THIS IS A SPONSORED POST; INFLUENSTER PROVIDED DOVE ADVANCED CARE DEODORANT TO ME AS A MEMBER OF INFLUENSTER.COM.  I WAS NOT COMPENSATED FOR THIS POST, HOWEVER I DID RECEIVE A SAMPLE FOR MY REVIEW.  ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN AND NOT INFLUENCED IN ANY WAY.

Do you struggle with finding a deodorant that works for you? I have used so many different brands and have never had success finding one that works for me! I have always had to reapply deodorant several times a day or change my shirt! Other brands always make my underarms itchy.

Dove Advanced Care deodorant has been an answer to the questions I’ve had of when will I find a deodorant that will keep me dry and moisturizes at the same time! When I got this product from Influenster I was so excited. It meant I didn’t have to go out and buy new deodorant  since I was almost out of my previous brand! Before even opening the box, I could smell the deodorant! Dove Advanced Care has a very clean and fresh scent that is unlike other perfumed deodorants.

Dove Advanced Care doesn’t flake off like the other brands! I have used brands that flake off onto my clothes and I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand that! Especially in the summer when I am wearing a sleeveless shirt! I don’t like that white residue that is sometimes hard to get off of clothes! Dove Advanced Care does not leave that gross white residue like other brands!

Dove Advanced Care also helps moisturize your underarms. You know how your skin gets irritated after you shave? Well, this helps keep your underarms moisturized so you don’t get the itchy feeling after shaving!

I have used a clinical strength deodorant in the past and it still didn’t keep me as dry as Dove Advanced Care. I really like this aspect of the product because I have to reapply other brands several times a day or change my shirt.

So, what’s my review for  Dove Advanced Care moisturizing deodorant? TWO ARMS UP!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are mine!

Beach Weekend

This past weekend Mr. RCGG and I went to the beach! We drove down to Amelia Island Florida on Friday! We got there at about 7pm and settled into our hotel. Then went to get some dinner! We had Applebees. After dinner we went back to the hotel and relaxed after our long day of driving.

On Saturday, we went to check out the beach of Amelia Island. It was so pretty! There were shells all over the place.

On we went to Fort Clinch. It is on the Northeast coast of Florida. To get to this fort you have to go down this little highway! Yeah, that’s the A1A! Haha! I was a little excited! If there wasn’t a lot of traffic I would have had Mr. RCGG take my picture with it! =)

Just as we were paying for entry to the fort a wedding had just finished! These people walking out of the fort were from this wedding. The bride was dressed in a period late civil war style dress!

You can see Cumberland Island GA from there. It was pretty foggy out to sea on Saturday afternoon so we couldn’t see it very well! After the Fort we walked along the beach for a few minutes. We found so many huge shells! I had never seen so many that were complete. There was this huge pipeline going down this beach and we still haven’t been able to figure out why! We went to walk around the downtown Fernandina Beach area and found some really cute shops.

Fernandina Beach was a pirate stop at one point so there are pirate statues all over the down town.We also saw an orange tree! It didn’t really look like there were a lot of oranges on this particular tree, but we saw some other ones that did have a lot more fruit on them.

When we got to JI it was pretty foggy! The fog rolls in with the cooler temps and it was really thick. There were times we couldn’t even see in front of us! This was Sunday on Driftwood Beach. usually you can see St. Simon’s Island from Jekyll, but you couldn’t through the fog. On Sunday we also went to The Georgia Sea Turtle Center. We have been wanting to go there every trip we have made down to Jekyll Island. They rehab injured sea turtles back to health and are able to release some of them back into the ocean.

This is one of the turtles they are currently bringing back to health!

We left Monday morning to head back home! We stopped in Macon at the Bass Pro Shop. We have stopped here on our way home after several beach trips! On this trip Mr. RCGG discovered that they have a clearance section!

We were so glad to have had this trip! It has made my longing for a beach house greater though, but someday I will live on the beach. I can’t wait until we go back in a few months!

Do you have a favorite vacation spot? What do you like to do when you go on vacation?

Snow Georgia

Snow in Georgia? Wait, you thought it was warm in Georgia because it’s the south right? Well, it does get cold here and occasionally it does snow.

This was outside our door today around 2:30 p.m. There really is a road there! We just don’t get any plows here!

As I was writing this at 10:00 p.m. Tuesday night the outside temperature was 21 degrees!  This cold weather is crazy! As long as we have lived in Georgia it has snowed twice. I don’t think it has ever gotten to temps below zero until now!

What are you doing to keep warm in this polar climate? I made some hot chocolate to drink while I blogged about the snow! It kept me warm while I was looking at snowy pictures! Haha! Even the cats are trying to keep warm! Peachy is curled up under a blanket sleeping!

Ollie likes to curl up behind the pillows to keep warm! 308

How are you keeping warm?

Serenity Prayer

During the past week I have been watching Joyce Meyer‘s TV show.  I have been getting a lot out of her teachings. This week she has been talking about contentment.  She uses the Amplified Bible and it explains contentment and being satisfied to the point where I’m not disturbed or disquieted. (Philippians 4:11)

On Friday she talked about the Serenity Prayer. I made a printable that I would like to share with you!!

serenity prayerI am so excited for this week’s teachings from Joyce! I really like watching her and learning more about what God has to say!

Do you follow a daily devotion? What has God done in your life?

Random Thursday

It is way too cold in Georgia along with the rest of the country! I keep thinking about the beach to keep warm, but it is even cold on Jekyll Island! Thinking warm beach thoughts though and that makes me happy!

My favorite sound is the ocean waves crashing into the beach! It is so calming. Another of my favorite sounds is cat snores.

260Most of the time it is Ollie that snores. I have occasionally heard Peachy snore, but not too often.

Blog Planner Organization

Life has gotten in the way of blogging! That happens sometimes! I have had so much going on in this past week and half that I haven’t made time to sit down and write! I have many ideas for new posts and I will get back to a better blogging schedule on Monday!

I’m looking for a better way to keep my post ideas organized! I have a binder that Mr. RCGG calls the binder of doom since it was originally used as my wedding planning notebook. I use this to write down any ideas I have and what my blogging goals are for the month. I want to be more organized with it since it is actually a mess right now.

I have been finding some great blog planners on Pinterest that are going to be so helpful to keep me organized in my blog planning! I have been looking for a way to keep track of my blogging budget as well!

Have you ever noticed that I don’t have any posts on the weekends? Have you ever wondered where RCGG is Friday night through Monday morning? Well, I spend time with Mr. RCGG on the weekends. I am working on a few new posts that will be up later today! I hope you come back to see what is up in the RCGG world!

Let the Crafting Begin

I am going to be starting my crafting for 2014 very soon! I have a few ideas in mind for a Valentine’s Day craft and I hope to have it up very soon! I kind of got off track around September and didn’t do any of the crafts I had planned. Instead of doing a craft every month this year, I am going to do one for every holiday. So I will have a craft for Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and etc. I thought this might be a little easier than every single month!

Do you have any craft ideas planned already or are you just going to decide as the year progresses?
