southern snow and olympic opening ceremony

The snow that has been forecasted for the past few days finally came. We got about three to four inches. Snow isn’t a common thing in Georgia. I had not seen snow since we moved down here. It really is pretty to see all the gross looking reddish brown dirt covered in white.

N’s brother, J, made a snowman. He made it in the backyard. Then decided that maybe he should have made it in the front yard. So he took it apart and rolled it around to the front. I was trying to get a picture of LJ, N’s nephew to let me take his picture in front of the snowman, but he wasn’t having it. He was too busy kicking up snow. HAHA!

The finished snowman in the front yard.
Did you catch the olympic opening ceremony? I thought it was AMAZING. I loved the production os the show. My favorite part is always the torch lighting. This one had an awesome touch to it. One of the final torch bearers was Catriona LeMay Doan. Her first name is spelled exactly like my first name. I was more excited about that than I was about Wayne Gretzky. It was very cool how they did it too. I won’t give it away if you haven’t seen it, but it was probably one of the coolest olympic cauldron lighting ceremonies I have ever seen. On a sad note, my heart goes out to the people of the country of Georgia. It was very sad that the luger died. It was very sweet when their country came in during the parade of nations. The whole stadium gave them a standing ovation out of respect for him. There were tears coming down the athletes faces. Please remember the family and friends of this young man in your prayers.
