Spooktacular Halloween decorations

I got my All You magazine today. Well, technically, I got it yesterday, but N forgot to bring in from the car. Anyways, there are some really cute Halloween decorations in it that I want to make.
The first one is called Candy Globes.

Here’s how to make them:

Things you need:
Styrofoam balls
Black spray paint
Assorted candy (such as Reese’s Pieces, candy corn and gum drops.)
Low temperature glue gun

To make them:

1. Spray the styrofoam balls with black paint. Let dry.
2. Glue candy to styrofoam balls in a uniform pattern, working in concentric circles around entire ball. Let dry before displaying.

Next are Witchy Candy Jars.

For this one you will need:
Witch hat and brim template. (can be downloaded at http://www.allyou.com/)
Pinter and plain white paper
scissors
Construction paper in purple black and yellow
pencil
double stick tape
craft glue
Jars with lids (lids should be 2 3/4 ” in diameter to fit hat template)
Candy
paper punch

Assembling the jars:
1. Download the hat and brim template and print. Cut out and place template on black construction paper. Trace shapes and cut out.
2. Create cone shape for top of witch hat, then tape seam. Bend tabs of brim upward and glue to inside of cone. Cut a cresent out of colored paper and glue to front of hat.
3. To ,ale hair, cute two 2″x4″ pieces of black paper. Cut 1/4″ strips along length of paper, leaving stips attached at one end. To curl, carefully run each strip between you thumb and scissors blade.
4. Tape hair to inside of hat. Place a bead of glue around inside of edge of hat and fit hat over jar lid.
5. Fill jar with candy of choice and screw on lid.
To make a face on the jar:
Cut two half oval shapes, a carrot shaped nose, and crooked smile out of black paper. Use a paper punch to make two dots from yellow construction paper, then glue a dot to a half oval to make eyes. Crumple nose to give it texture, then unfold. Glue all facial features to jar.
I thought these were so cute. I will be making them and definitly posting pictures. I hope you make these and enjoy them for years to come. I am going to hopefully get to do some fun decorating for Halloween and Christmas this year. So be sure to check back and see what I come up with for those wonderful holidays. I will be putting up a decorating idea and maybe a Christmas baking idea everyday starting November 1st.
