becoming magnolia- Chocolate Chip Cookies

My favorite cookie is chocolate chip. My favorite ice cream is chocolate chip cookie dough. The only kind of cookie that my grandma could not make was chocolate chip cookies.

In my new becoming magnolia series I am starting with JoJo’s chocolate chip cookies. These were the best chocolate chips cookies I have made! They are so soft and have that iconic chocolate chip cookie taste.

2 1/2 cups flour
1teaspoon salt
1 stick butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Whisk flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

Beat the brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and blend. Then add the vanilla.

Add the flour slowly until dough pulls together.

Stir in the chocolate chips.

Drop large spoonfuls on baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned.

Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to wire cooling rack. Repeat with remaining dough.

Mr. RCGG said these were the best cookies I have made. They were soft and stayed soft even after storing in an airtight container.

I hope you enjoyed my first post in becoming magnolia! I’ll have some home decor and other recipes in the series too!
